Second grade students have begun a new unit in Science: Solids and Liquids. Solids and liquids are two states of matter. Each state has different properties. Solids and liquids can be described and classified on the basis of their properties. Solids and liquids have unique properties. Testing can identify properties that cannot be detected by the senses. Students will be engaged in a variety of experiments to discover how can we describe matter and how is matter alike and different. Ask your child to explain what they have done in their Science class.
